Description (Use your own words)
|
London Eye, also known as the
Millennium Wheel is the world's largest observation wheel as high as 135
meters or 443 feet. The London Eye spins over the River Thames, London,
The United Kingdom and begins operations in late 1999.
London Eye was inaugurated
by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Tony Blair on 31 December 1999
but only opened to the public in March 2000 due to technical problems.
London Eye is operated by
Tussauds Group and sponsored by British Airways which uses the terms fly and flight to describe travel in the London Eye. Over time, the London Eye has become a famous tourism object and an icon of London. Londoners also warmly
welcomed the London Eye, warmer than the welcome to the Millennium Dome, and
until July 2002 8.5 million people had "flown" on the London Eye.
